BGM Ltd., established in 1991, is one of the leading manufacturers of Intel® based Servers in Baltic States. We design, manufacture and service high-performance technical computing products such as Industry standard & Enterprise Elitas® Servers, Blade Servers and High Performance Computing clusters. Since 2000 BGM specializes in a wide range of custom Linux and Windows computing solutions for the most demanding applications, with a focus on leading-edge supercomputing technology.

In 2001 BGM was awarded for the implementation of the Largest Customer (Solution) Deployment in EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa). In 2003 BGM was the first company to introduce Intel® Itanium® 2 based Elitas® server system, and deployed Elitas® Cluster - the first solution based on 64-bit Intel® architecture in Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia). Elitas® Cluster was integrated into Authentication Fingerprint Information System (AFIS) of the Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Centre. The Intel® Itanium® 2 processor-powered solution provides high performance and 7/24 availability to the central AFIS database for all authorized users.

Since the spring of 2004 BGM introduced the first Elitas® Blade server system based on Intel® Blade server technology. Featuring great computing density and simplified maintenance, Elitas® Blade server system made our solutions more flexible and cost-effective.

In summer 2004 BGM announced the foundation of the first Laboratory utilizing Intel® Itanium® 2, Blade Servers and HPC Cluster in the Baltic States.

In addition, BGM has joined the Intel® Enterprise Server Acceleration Alliance (ESAA) and TSA Net (Technical Support Alliance Network).

Since 2004 BGM is permanent CeBIT's participant.

Since 2005 BGM supplied 30 IA64 CPU demo clusters Elitas® for Vilnius University, Kaunas Technological University and Vilnius Gedimino Technical university. In 2005 this initiative together with above mentioned universities turned into foundation of the first HPC GRID in Lithuania named as LitGRID (http://www.litgrid.lt).

Since 2006 BGM is a member as well as business partner of two innovative projects such as computational grid of Lithuania - LitGRID - and grid of Baltic countries - BalticGRID.

In 2005 BGM in Klaipeda and Vilnius Universities has installed two scientific clusters based on Intel Itanium 2 processors. Since 2006 BGM become member of Itanium Solutions Alliance.

Already thousands of PC's and hundreds of servers made by BGM are functioning in various companies and governmental institutions of Lithuania.

Since 1999 BGM has implemented the ISO 9001 standard.
